Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Media and Business Studies Research (JMBSR) operates a double-blind peer review process. This means that the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. This helps to ensure that the review process is fair and objective.

All submitted manuscripts are initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The reviewers are asked to consider the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research
  • Soundness of the methodology
  • Clarity and conciseness of the writing
  • Overall contribution to the field of media and business studies

The reviewers provide their feedback to the editor in a written report. The editor then makes a decision based on the reviewer reports and their own assessment of the manuscript. The possible decisions are:

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions required
  • Major revisions required
  • Reject

If the manuscript is accepted, it will be published in the journal. If the manuscript is rejected, the editor will provide the authors with feedback from the reviewers. The authors may then choose to revise and resubmit their manuscript.

Here is a more detailed overview of the peer review process:

  1. The author submits their manuscript to the journal via the online submission system.
  2. The editor screens the manuscript to ensure that it meets the journal's submission criteria. If the manuscript is deemed suitable, it is sent to two independent expert reviewers.
  3. The reviewers read the manuscript and provide their feedback to the editor in a written report. The reviewers are asked to consider the following criteria:
    • Originality and significance of the research
    • Soundness of the methodology
    • Clarity and conciseness of the writing
    • Overall contribution to the field of media and business studies
  4. The editor reads the reviewer reports and makes a decision based on the feedback and their own assessment of the manuscript. The possible decisions are:
    • Accept
    • Minor revisions required
    • Major revisions required
    • Reject
  5. If the manuscript is accepted, the editor informs the author and the manuscript is moved to the production process.
  6. If the manuscript is rejected, the editor informs the author and provides them with feedback from the reviewers. The authors may then choose to revise and resubmit their manuscript.

The peer review process is an essential part of the scholarly publishing process. It helps to ensure that the research published in JMBSR is of the highest quality and that it makes a significant contribution to the field of media and business studies.
