Withdrawal Policy

The Journal of Media and Business Studies Research (JMBSR) follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for withdrawing articles.

Authors may withdraw their articles before publication:

  • If the article is still under review, the authors can withdraw it by contacting the journal editor.
  • If the article has been accepted for publication but has not yet been published online, the authors can withdraw it by contacting the journal editor.

Authors may withdraw their articles after publication:

  • Only in exceptional circumstances, such as serious scientific misconduct or ethical violations.
  • Authors must submit a written request to the journal editor, explaining the reasons for withdrawal.
  • The journal editor will make a decision in consultation with the editorial board.

If an article is withdrawn after publication, the following will happen:

  • A retraction notice will be published online, stating the reasons for withdrawal.
  • The article will remain accessible online, but it will be marked as "retracted."
  • The article will be removed from all indexing and abstracting databases.

Examples of exceptional circumstances that may warrant withdrawal of an article after publication:

  • If the authors discover that the data in the article is fraudulent or inaccurate.
  • If the authors discover that the article plagiarizes other work.
  • If the authors discover that the article violates ethical guidelines, such as those for human subjects research.

If you are considering withdrawing your article from JMBSR, please contact the journal editor to discuss your options.

Please note that the journal editor has the final decision on whether or not to withdraw an article.
