Waiver-Eligibility

The Journal of Media and Business Studies Research (JMBSR) offers a waiver of the article processing charge (APC) to authors who meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Students: Currently enrolled full-time students at any accredited university or college.
  • Early career researchers: Researchers who have received their PhD within the past five years.
  • Researchers from developing countries: Researchers who are employed by institutions located in developing countries.
  • Authors experiencing financial hardship: Authors who can demonstrate that they are unable to pay the APC due to financial hardship.

To request a waiver, authors must submit a waiver request form along with their manuscript. The waiver request form should include a brief explanation of why the author is eligible for a waiver and any supporting documentation, such as a proof of enrollment or a letter from the author's employer.

The JMBSR editorial board will review all waiver requests and make a decision on a case-by-case basis. Authors will be notified of the decision within two weeks of submitting their manuscript.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a waiver, please contact the JMBSR editorial board at contact page.

Additional information:

  • The JMBSR waiver policy is subject to change at any time.
  • The JMBSR editorial board reserves the right to deny any waiver request without explanation.
  • Authors who are granted a waiver are still required to submit their manuscript in accordance with the JMBSR submission guidelines.

Please note that the JMBSR is a peer-reviewed journal, and all manuscripts are subject to a rigorous review process. Waiver eligibility does not guarantee that a manuscript will be accepted for publication.
